About the Role

Infratech is hiring Janitorial Staff for a high-volume retail shopping centre. This is hands-on commercial cleaning work in a property that sees thousands of visitors daily. You'll be part of the on-site team responsible for making sure the building is clean, safe, and ready for the public at all times.

Shift Model

This position runs on rotating split shifts. Candidates must be available to work all three shift patterns:

• Shift 1: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• Shift 2: 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM

• Swing/Midday Shift: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Weekend availability and rotating days off are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of common areas, corridors, entrances, and washrooms throughout the shopping centre.

• Carry out hard-surface floor care, including sweeping, mopping, machine scrubbing, burnishing, and periodic floor stripping .

• Operate commercial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and vacuums.

• Clean, sanitize, and restock washrooms on a scheduled basis.

• Follow colour coded cleaning systems and documented procedures to prevent cross-contamination

• Remove waste and recycling and transport it to designated collection points.

• Respond promptly to spills, washroom calls, and other cleanliness requests during mall hours.

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages to the site lead.

• Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in clean, working order.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous commercial janitorial or custodial experience (retail or shopping centre environment preferred) .

• Knowledge of hard-surface floor care, including sweeping, mopping, machine scrubbing, burnishing, and floor stripping.

• Experience with washroom sanitation procedures and supply restocking.

• Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and vacuums.

• Familiarity with colour coded cleaning systems and documented cleaning procedures.

• WHMIS 2015 certification required prior to the first shift (training can be provided).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain ISSA cleanliness standards.

• Professional appearance and conduct at all times; company uniform and grooming standards apply.

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work weekends and rotating days off.

• Competitive wage of $19.00 to $22.00/hour, based on experience.
